About the conference
Held at the University of Essex, the Understanding Society Scientific Conference provided an international forum for the exchange of research based on longitudinal household panel studies.
The 2017 Conference had a particular emphasis on the value of household panel studies and was followed by a one-day meeting (on 14th July) of key researchers from international household panel studies. These included:
- The Panel Study of Income Dynamics – USA
- Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia Survey – Australia
- The German Socio-Economic Panel – Germany
- FORS – Switzerland
- Longitudinal and International Study of Adults – Canada
There were also other studies who presented their future developments.
