Using the Colectica REST API to access CLOSER Discovery Metadata (9 & 16 March) ShareThis

Register now to attend CLOSER's two-day training workshop on exploring longitudinal study metadata in novel ways. The training will take place on 9th and 16th March 2022.

About this workshop

CLOSER is running a free, two-day, online training workshop on using the Colectica REST API to access CLOSER Discovery metadata. The REST API enables users to query the content of CLOSER Discovery programmatically. The training aims to help familiarise data managers, researchers and programmers with the skills needed to explore and use longitudinal study metadata in novel ways.

The training will be delivered by Colectica.

The first session (9 March 2022) will equip participants with the necessary background knowledge needed to be able to interact with the REST API. Participants will be encouraged to test out the API for themselves in their own work before the second training session (16 March 2022).

The second session will be driven by the needs of participants following their use of the REST API.

Although not essential, the training is (especially the second session) aimed at those with some experience of programming, e.g. C# Python or R.
