An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Project Manager at CLOSER, an ESRC & MRC funded resource centre based at UCL Institute of Education.
The post holder will manage the development of the project during its next phase of funding. The role is instrumental to successful delivery of the activities planned for the next two years, and for preparing a bid for funding beyond 2019. The role includes strategic planning, managing capital budgets, and operational management of a multi-themed and multi-partner project.
The CLOSER Project Manager is responsible for the overall coordination and administration of CLOSER, including financial management and successful implementation. You will work closely with Professor Alison Park, Director of CLOSER, as well as members of the Executive Group. You will maintain links with the other institutions involved in the programme as well as liaising with colleagues across UCL.
Key Requirements
We are looking for candidates with excellent organisational, research finance and project management skills. You should have strong communication and relationship-building skills and work well with different personalities.
Significant experience of managing a busy and varied workload and delivering to tight deadlines is essential and you must have the ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
Experience of working with the cohort and longitudinal studies and developing research funding proposals, is not essential but would be an advantage.
